• Enables simplified data export on removable media
Who is the S/S+ probe made for?
The S/S+ probe is dedicated to children. Measurement is adjusted to the size of “small” liver (from 15 mm to 50 mm). The S/S+ probe is intended for children with thoracic perimeter less than 75 cm.
What are the measurement depths of the S/S+ probe?
Measurement depths are:
• For the S1 examination: from 15 to 40 mm under the skin.
• For the S2 examination: from 20 to 50 mm under the skin.
What are the criteria of selection between S1 exam and S2 exam?
The criteria of selection are:
• The S1 examination is for children with a thoracic perimeter ≤ 45 cm
• TheS2 examination is for children with a thoracic perimeter: between 45 and 75 cm included
What is the ultrasound central frequency of the S/S+ probe?
The center ultrasound frequency of the S/S+ probe is 5 MHz for improved performance in shallow livers.
What are the differences between S and S+ probes?
The “S+”probe is also called the 3rd generation S probe. Compared to the S probe, the S+ probe:
• Allows better maintainability
• Enables a faster service for better customer satisfaction
Do the S probe and the S+ probes give the same results?
Yes, they are based on the same core technology: The VCTE™ (Vibration Controlled Transient Elastography) at 50 Hz.
Is the S probe compatible with CAP™?
CAP™ can be measured only with the M/M+ probe. For the time being, CAP™ is not available on the S/S+ and XL/XL+ probe.
Is the S/S+ probe compatible with the Automated Probe Selection tool?
