Tania Batista from KNS Canada traveled to Williams Lake on April 29th, 2016, to provide an on-site demonstration of FibroScan technology during a hepatitis C workshop. Health professionals from First Nations communities in the Cariboo Chilcotin were completing a basic training course, provided by CATIE, to help educate community members.
Coordinators of the course reached out to KNS Canada about providing the FibroScan demonstration. The aim of this training is to raise the general awareness level of Hep C knowledge so they can start increasing the testing, awareness and prevention.
You can read more about the training in the Williams Lake Tribune here.
